Check out the cuteness...

This is without a doubt the hardest I have ever had to work to get a smile. It only took two hours to get.

The BIG ol' Emmett Family...

Kinda scary taking pictures of 23 people at one time, but I think they turned out pretty great! I was so happy that Linda (that's the Mom of this brood) was up for some fun location shots. Really the only way to make a huge family picture like this interesting is to go for it with the location. Can you imagine how boring it would look with everyone just stacked together in front of some trees or in a studio? So my solution was downtown Kent, there's some good back alleys and a great old train station. It's never easy to get a whole family together for a picture but I hope that it was worth it!

Little Miss "M"...sneak peak

I shot this incredibly cute little 1 year old today. If you've ever tried to take pictures of a one year old than you'll know how tough it can be. Well this little Diva made it so easy. She just smiled and smiled. As long as Mom was singing and dancing the hokey pokey we were good to go! By the way Carol, I'm having the hardest time narrowing down the winners...there are so many good ones! Here's a little sneak peak for you...

Last Minute Wedding

I got a phone call two days before Christmas from a fellow photographer. She was having to cancel on a wedding and wondered if I could fill in for her. It was the following Saturday. I know that's pretty short notice but I was up for the challenge. I shot at the Seattle temple in the morning and then did detail shots in the afternoon followed by the family formals and the reception. It was the first time I had left my baby for such a long time. I did get to stop in and nurse her a few times during the day but I was gone pretty much all day. She surprised me and did really good without me. I guess it's time to cut the cord a bit and start getting out without her more often. I'm still up to my ears in editing but here's one of my favorites...
