I was raised in Kent Washington, which is where I first fell in love with photography at the age of 8. My mother encouraged me by buying my very first camera for Christmas that year. She continued to encourage me, purchasing my first professional film camera at the age of 16. I studied photography in High school so extensively that they had to create a class for my skill level. My work was published in a book my senior year and I went on to major in photography in College. I set a career aside to bring 4 beautiful children into this world. After 10 years as Mother and Wife my family encouraged me to pursue my dreams of being a photographer. I have been working as a professional photographer since 2007 as the owner of A Fresh Take Photography. I own and operate a local studio as well as doing many location and travel sessions each year. Photography is a part of me, it is how I express myself. When I lift the camera to my eye, I see an entirely different world before me. I'm so blessed to be able to capture that vision and share it with the rest of the world.
